Assessments for ADHD
A step by step guide through the process of assessments for ADHD for children and adults.
We will require this information before the face to face assessment can go ahead. The importance of this is to ensure that we can make the most effective use of the first appointment.
A face to face appointment will then be offered at our Beckenham Clinic. This will last 1.5 – 2 hours and will be for your child and, ideally, both parents to attend.
The appointment begins with your child completing the QbCheck with a member of the clinical team – this is a computer-based test that gathers information about concentration skills and forms part of the assessment battery for all neurodiversity assessments undertaken at Dr Kilbey’s clinic.
Conners Rating Scale Questionnaires are issued to parents/carers and school. Further information may be sought from school or other agencies as required by Dr Kilbey. Please note that, where additional information from school is needed, an observation of your child within their educational setting may be recommended – cost £100. This will always be discussed and agreed with you in advance.
